Private RAG over matter files
Ask a question across a matter’s documents and get the passages that answer it, with the files, the index, and the model on firm infrastructure. How private RAG works.
Lawyers are using Microsoft Copilot and a growing list of legal AI tools, sometimes before IT has signed off. Palm Hill gives the firm one gateway on its own infrastructure to see and manage that use, and a private assistant for work that shouldn’t leave firm servers.
In many firms, AI arrived one tool at a time. A practice group bought one, associates tried another, and Copilot came with the Microsoft license. That leaves three questions without a single answer.
Practice groups, associates, and staff each find their own, and nobody has one list of the models reading firm documents.
Each tool has its own data terms. A document pasted into the wrong one is hard to take back.
IT, risk, and the general counsel’s office need one place to look when a client asks how AI was used on their matter.
WolfPackAI routes model use through a single gateway on firm servers or private cloud. Open-weight models run on firm hardware, and commercial models are reached through the same gateway, so there is one place to see what is running.
WolfPackAI is in alpha. Model routing, basic authentication, and tracing work today and are ready for a pilot.
Role-based access control and richer monitoring are next on the roadmap.
When the firm wants an assistant of its own, NoPilot is a Copilot-style assistant you host, locally or in private cloud, with enterprise sign-in. Documents are stored and indexed on firm infrastructure, not copied into a vendor’s cloud.
Microsoft Copilot can stay for the work it suits. NoPilot is for the documents the firm would rather keep in-house. It is in early access. NoPilot in detail

Compare two versions of a contract or filing on a lawyer’s own Mac or PC and export the highlighted changes. Nothing is uploaded. Get PDF Diff.
List the AI tools and models already in use across the firm, and where each one sends documents.
Install WolfPackAI on firm servers or private cloud and route the first models through it.
Compare candidate models on sample or redacted documents, with a written list of how each one fails.
Review the setup with IT and risk, then add NoPilot or private RAG where they earn their place.
How we test, where people stay in charge, and what we watch once it is live: our approach.
No. WolfPackAI and NoPilot work alongside the tools the firm has already bought. The point is one place to see and manage model use, not replacing what lawyers already rely on.
No software can promise that; privilege is a legal question for the firm. What we can do is keep client documents on infrastructure the firm controls and show exactly which requests, if any, go to an outside model provider.
With NoPilot, documents stay on firm infrastructure; if the firm connects a commercial model API, prompts go to that provider. WolfPackAI sends only the requests you choose to route to commercial providers, and local models stay on firm hardware.

Open-weight models on firm hardware, commercial models through the gateway, or both. We test candidates on sample firm documents before recommending one. Open model deployment.
We will map the tools in use, where client documents go today, and what a gateway pilot would look like. We don’t partner with any chip, hardware, or cloud vendor, so the firm keeps control of where its AI runs.
