Healthcare
Answer and transfer on your existing PBX. Consider the local path for internal or sensitive lines; the cloud realtime path sends audio to a provider. Scope either with your compliance team. AI for healthcare
PalmConnect
Status: Early release
Both Chat411 paths are supported now.
Chat411 answers and transfers on your Asterisk or FreePBX system. PalmConnect Phone is a separate desktop SIP softphone.
Use a local model. Media can be encrypted. PSTN is not required: internal extensions, on-net SIP, and closed voice networks can keep audio on your network.
Caller audio streams to a cloud realtime voice provider (xAI by default). Choose this path where that egress is acceptable.
Call control stays on your PBX in both paths.
Chat411 answers the call itself. There is no menu to press through: the caller hears a greeting right away and just says what they need. When they want a person, the agent transfers them and gets off the line.
Choose the local path when conversation audio needs to stay on infrastructure you control. A local model handles the conversation, media can be encrypted, and no public-network hop or cloud model provider is required. You can also connect PSTN trunks when your deployment calls for them.
Choose the cloud realtime path when you want a hosted realtime model and accept caller audio going to that provider. xAI is the default provider for this path.
Static IVR trees that frustrate callers. Missed front-desk coverage. After-hours lines that roll straight to voicemail.
Healthcare front desks, professional services intake, property ops, and any FreePBX or Asterisk shop that wants an AI receptionist without replacing the phone system.
This is not a full contact-center platform replacement. Answer and transfer are available now; scheduling actions and saved call records are not.
If you are an MSP, Chat411 is something you can add to the Asterisk and FreePBX systems you already support. What your PBX needs
Chat411 runs next to your PBX. Your numbers, carriers, and trunks stay where they are.
Your dial plan sends a chosen line or internal extension to Chat411. Other routes keep working as they do today.
It takes the call over the Asterisk REST Interface and opens two audio paths: one to speak to the caller, one that carries only the caller’s voice to the model.
The local path uses a model on your infrastructure. The cloud realtime path streams caller audio to your chosen provider.
When the caller asks for someone, the agent transfers to that extension and removes itself from the call.
For PBX admins and MSPs.
| Layer | How Chat411 does it |
|---|---|

| Call control | Asterisk REST Interface: a Stasis app answers the call and builds its bridges |
| Local path | A local model handles the conversation. Media can be encrypted. PSTN is not required, and audio can stay on your network. |
| Cloud realtime path | Caller audio streams to a cloud realtime voice provider, xAI by default. Call control stays on your PBX. |

| Service | A .NET service on your network, with a web view of active calls |
Scope healthcare and confidential deployments with your compliance team before go-live. Review the chosen voice path, network, and handling of call data. We don’t certify compliance; we build systems your compliance team can review.
When Chat411 transfers a caller, someone has to pick up. PalmConnect Phone is a desktop softphone for PalmConnect and WebRTC-capable SIP PBXs such as Asterisk, FreePBX, FreeSWITCH, and 3CX.
Windows-first · Early 0.1 · Hold and speaker selection are not available yet
The 0.1 scope is register, call, denoise. RNNoise runs on the device. That describes the softphone’s noise reduction, not either Chat411 conversation path.
Chat411 is built so the agent can do more than route calls. Here is what is live, what is partly built, and what is planned.
Greet every caller, hold a natural conversation, and connect them to the right extension.
Live today
Your directory, hours, and common answers, so callers can ask for a person or department by name instead of an extension number.
Planned
Planned prompts heard only by a staff member during a call, such as next steps. The separate audio channel is built; the guidance feature is not available yet. This does not determine whether the conversation uses the local or cloud realtime path.
Groundwork built
Every action the agent can take is a named tool your team can review. Transfer is the first. CRM and scheduling lookups come next, and a person approves anything that changes a record.
Groundwork built
The transcript, a short summary, and where the call went, saved for your team. Today, operators can follow the full transcript while the call is live.
Planned
Appointment confirmations and follow-up calls, logged so your team can check each one.
Planned
On the desk side, PalmConnect Phone is growing toward one workspace for calls, texts, the live transcript, and the agent. That workspace is a design prototype today.
